After fifteen years of hiring caregivers for her own family and coordinating every aspect of care, Jane Seger founded Pin Oak Caregivers in 2012. Bringing her experience and expertise to others, Ms. Seger has developed a dynamic team and a network that includes highly qualified caregivers, doctors, nurses, and social workers.

Jane Seger

Administrator

Jane Seger is a native Houstonian who graduated from the City University of New York. She has owned and operated several successful businesses as well as led an active consulting operation. Jane’s 14-year experience as the primary caregiver to her disabled sister and her entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of Pin Oak Caregivers in 2012. Her desire is to provide excellent care to her elderly and disabled clients and peace of mind to their families. Ms. Seger enjoys reading, entertaining friends, and being mom to a strong-minded young adult. (usually)

Mary Ann Pendino

Alternate Administrator

Mary Ann Pendino is a graduate of Lesley University in Boston. Throughout her career as a writer and teacher, she has worked extensively on innovative projects with Baylor College of Medicine, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital and most recently, as co-author of The Brewsters, an inventive medical ethics text book for the University of Texas Medical School and Health Science Center. Her experience as sole caregiver for her elderly parents has compelled her to help others who are caring for a loved one and to advocate for those who can no longer advocate for themselves. Mary Ann describes herself as a loyal supporter of the arts, an avid theatre-goer, a sporadic swimmer and a pretty good mom.

Monique Davis, LVN

Care Manager

Monique Davis is a native of Lufkin, Texas. She has been an LVN for more than 11 years and is currently studying for her RN degree. Her nursing background has been in geriatric care, home health, wound care, and healthcare management. Monique is the consummate professional who provides patient-focused care with compassion and empathy. In her supervisory role she enjoys working closely with each caregiver to advance their knowledge and professionalism. On a personal note, she is a wife and mother of two handsome boys, with whom she loves spending quality time.

Nora Adeyinka

Recruitment Manager

Nora is a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of Houston. She has an extensive background in recruiting and job placement, with more than ten years in health care administration and human resources. Nora has created and implemented effective, innovative strategies to recruit the most qualified professional caregivers and staff. Nora plans to attend law school, and when not studying for the LSAT, she enjoys working in community outreach programs, reading, spending time with her family, and traveling abroad.

Dontya Brazil

Scheduler

Dontya is a native Houstonian with a gentle spirit and a “can-do” attitude. She began her career in healthcare while in high school when, at the encouragement of her RN mother, became a caregiver. Dontya has more than 10 years experience in healthcare and human resources, including the scheduling of more than 200 employees and ensuring policy compliance as well as office procedurals. She is currently studying for her certification in Human Resources. Dontya is the proud mother of two sons, enjoys writing, cooking, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.

Nathalie Garza

Administrative Assistant

Nathalie is a native Texan, technological whiz, and the always gracious “go-to” person in the office when anyone is stuck with a problem. With years of clerical and managerial experience, Nathalie possesses not only technological and customer service skills, but an overall knowledge of how a business is run. In her free time, Nathalie enjoys all things fitness, watching movies, and spending time with her lucky better half.

Donna Averyt

Special Projects

Donna is a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of St. Thomas. She brings to Pin Oak Caregivers her years of experience working in the areas of office administration, the retail sector and customer service. She will not admit it, but Donna is an organizational genius and the recipient of numerous awards for her photography. Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her beautiful Goddaughter, along with walking, reading, photography, and watching Turner Classic Movies.
